Steve Priest, charismatic bass player and superb vocalist from arguably the best glam rock band in the world, The Sweet, passed away on 4th June aged 72 after a short illness.
Known for his outrageous performances on Top of the Pops he delighted his fans, but was up there with the best when it came to live performances. Check out their 1974 gig at The Rainbow on Youtube, or any of the subsequent audio and visual documentation of his highly skilled musicianship.
